The Cycle Of Success And The Cycle Of Failure
As I reflect on this morning, I keep thinking about the podcast I was listening to and how both speakers broke down two very real cycles we all experience. The cycle of success and the cycle of failure. One lifts us into progress and growth. The other traps us in hesitation and doubt.
The cycle of success begins with intention. When I set a clear intention, my mind becomes a goal seeking machine. It starts scanning for opportunities, answers, and the next right step. It moves me toward the outcome because it knows what it is looking for. Intention activates direction.
But then there is the cycle of failure. It shows up quietly. It usually begins when the fog rolls in. That fog can be uncertainty, doubt, fear, distraction, or confusion. In that fog, many people turn inward and start questioning everything. They stall. They look at their lack instead of their direction. They break their own momentum through self sabotage.
Those who succeed move through the fog. They do not panic. They do not collapse their purpose. They make an adjustment. They pivot. They evaluate their performance, not their identity, and they continue forward. They do not change the plan. They simply adjust the execution.
This morning’s reflection reminds me that every day I get to choose which cycle I enter. The cycle of success where intention leads the way. Or the cycle of failure where doubt tries to reroute me. Progress is always waiting. Stuck is always an option. And the difference is the decision I make in the fog.
