WSOB Final Day: Eyes on the Prize, Feet in the Present

WSOB Final Day: Eyes on the Prize, Feet in the Present

This morning started with a quiet kind of anticipation—the kind that tells you something important is about to happen.

Bella headed to the bowling center with Lindsay and her mom, Marci. After this morning’s surprise reunion, the energy in their camp was lifted. Marci’s early arrival gave Lindsay exactly what she needed—not just the emotional boost heading into today’s matches, but the comfort of knowing she won’t have to fly home alone tomorrow. Her brother Zach is on his way, planning to arrive just in time for the first ball to roll.

Barbi and I stayed back a little longer. She had breakfast while I took time to get centered and ready for the day. Now we’ve arrived at Bowlero and are sitting in the car—it’s 8:21 AM. The first ball goes down at 9:00.

This morning’s format includes a four-game match-play block. A win adds 30 bonus pins. A tie earns each bowler 15. After the morning block, there will be a lunch break, followed by one final four-game block this afternoon—the last chance to determine who advances to the step ladder finals.

We haven’t even walked inside yet, but I can already feel it—the energy, the focus, the calm before the storm. The girls are dialed in. Lindsay, fueled by her family’s presence, is calm and ready. Bella, centered and steady, is staying in her process.

Eyes on the prize. Feet in the present.

Let’s see what today brings.
