Off to Camp: Bella’s Next Step on the Journey

Off to Camp: Bella’s Next Step on the Journey

This morning is filled with anticipation, joy, and quiet gratitude as we pack up and get ready to take Bella Love to Junior Team USA Developmental Camp at the International Training and Research Center in Arlington.

For the second year in a row, she’s been invited back after earning her spot by winning the national championship—an honor that reflects not just her talent, but the time, discipline, and heart she pours into her craft.

Bella Love will spend the week training alongside some of the best youth bowlers in the country, surrounded by coaches and mentors from Team USA. It’s a space for growth—not competition—a rare opportunity to step away from the scoreboard and into the lab of learning, sharpening her skills, and deepening her love for the game.

As proud parents, Barbi and I are overwhelmed with gratitude. We’ve watched Bella Love grow from rolling her first ball down a plastic ramp, to bowling one-handed in dresses, to learning the two-handed style and competing with fierce determination. We’ve seen her win local titles, state championships, and now national honors. We’ve watched her stand among the best as a member of the Junior Team USA Developmental Team—not once, but twice. And through it all, we’ve seen her spirit shine even brighter than her talent.

It’s an honor and a joy to be her dad.

Barbi and I are thankful for the gifts and talents God has given Bella Love—and even more thankful for the way she continues to grow into the beautiful, strong, and purposeful young woman He is shaping her to be.

This trip means a lot to us. It’s a chance to drop her off with love, pray over her journey, and enjoy a few quiet days of rest and reflection while she trains. These are treasured moments—family time, faith time, and the time in between that reminds us how fast she’s growing and how blessed we truly are.

Time to finish packing. Bella just walked outside, and it’s almost time to head out.

Let the next chapter begin.
