Morning at Bowlero for PBA Junior

This morning, as we arrived at Bowlero, I found myself outside with the backpacks, getting everything ready before heading inside to video. Instead of rushing, I decided to slow down, breathe in the air, and take a moment to reflect.

Gratitude found me there.

My thoughts turned to Dr. Jay Weems—Jos’s dad. I remembered the way he always wore his ball cap backwards and threw on a hoodie, a simple style that carried presence and character. Today, I chose the same. Hoodie on. Hat turned backwards. Not just for comfort, but in remembrance of a man who left his mark.

I’m grateful for what Dr. Weems has meant in my life. Grateful for the ways he has touched my daughter’s life, my wife’s life, and our family’s journey. Grateful, too, for the many lives he impacted beyond ours.

Wearing my hat backwards today is more than a gesture—it’s a thank you. A reminder to carry gratitude with me into the day, onto the lanes, and into each moment.

Now, it’s time to head inside, fully present and thankful for the chance to be here.
