Living a Life of Principle, Not Preference

The Simplex Chapter

Living a Life of Principle, Not Preference

This morning, I chose to walk.

Not out of routine—out of alignment.

Before the world stirred. Before sugar whispered. Before the temptation of caffeine could call my name.

I walked beneath the wind, beside fences, under trees, and through a chorus of birds too loud and beautiful to ignore.

And from a distance, I saw it—the Tree of Zion.

A single branch, the Branch of Guiltlessness, reaching out like a reminder that innocence isn’t something we earn…

It’s something we return to.

The CASTILLO Bench reminded me who I am.

The eggshell and pine straw I carried home reminded me of who I was.

And the sunlight that touched my face reminded me who I’m becoming.

Today, I’m not living by preference.

I’m choosing principle.

No sugar. No shortcuts. No shame.

I am a solar panel—receiving light, reflecting God’s glory, and staying connected to the Source.

This is Simplex.

Simple in spirit.

Complex in truth.

The way of walking with Christ.

And tomorrow is already being changed… by what I chose today.
