Evening Reflections – The Light Is Still On

Evening Reflections – The Light Is Still On

Bella took the wheel tonight—guiding us on a sunset golf cart ride with Banana and be Bazil riding shotgun beside Barbi. The wind was light, the air calm, and laughter filled the ride as Bella tossed the ball for Bazil to fetch across the open field—four or five times until her tail wagged in happy exhaustion.

And then came the pause.

We sat still, facing the horizon as the sun melted into the rooftops.

The clouds, like brushstrokes of gold and gray, gave way to light breaking through.

There’s a light on.

Not just in the sky—but in us.

A reminder that even as the day ends, something beautiful still burns within.

This ride was more than just motion.

It was connection.

Contribution.

A snapshot of what it means to be family:

Present. Grateful. Together.

Before the sun disappeared completely, we took a moment to breathe in the beauty.

To remember that life doesn’t need to be loud to be full.

The light is still on.

And we’re still here—rooted in love, held by the breeze, and lit by grace.
