Championship Thursday – World Series of Bowling Stepladder Finals Recap
Thursday’s stepladder finals delivered an exciting close to an unforgettable week at the World Series of Bowling, featuring standout performances across all three divisions.
In the U18 Girls Division, Bella Love entered as the 4-seed after a strong match play block. In her opening match, she needed a strike in the tenth to advance but left eight, resulting in a narrow defeat. Still, her poise under pressure showed why she belonged among the top contenders.
Lindsay, the 2-seed, advanced to the championship match after a solid victory in the semifinals. There, she met 1-seed Tori Franklin, who bowled with confidence and control to claim the U18 Girls World Series Championship title. Tori’s performance capped off a dominant run, and Lindsay’s effort throughout the tournament was a display of heart and consistency.
The U18 Boys Division saw Jos Weems battle his way to the title, defeating Luke Switalski in the championship match. Jos, a close friend to Bella and a resilient competitor all week, secured the U18 Boys crown with skill and determination.
In the U15 Division, Kristopher Wagner delivered a powerful finish, sweeping all three oil patterns throughout the tournament and closing out with a 246 in the final match against Lucas Drisdel. Kristopher claimed the U15 World Championship and all four pieces of hardware, completing a dominant and well-deserved clean sweep.
From Bella’s grit, to Lindsay’s run to the final, to Jos’s breakthrough win, to Kristopher’s commanding sweep—and Tori’s championship performance—this was a day of champions. The World Series of Bowling Stepladder Finals reminded us all what it means to compete with purpose, heart, and excellence.
