Blog Title: “We’re Home – The End of a Beautiful Day”

We’re home.

The bags are still in the car. The porch light is on. The air feels a little cooler than when we left, and the dogs are barking like they know—we made it back safe.

The road from San Antonio gave us time. Time to think, to laugh, to listen. Bella stretched out in the backseat, playing her quiet games, brushing her feet over the center console just to mess with me. Barbi watched the sun sink low, her eyes soft and full of thought. And me? I just drove, soaking it all in—knowing this is the good stuff.

The tournament was great. Bella was even greater. But what I’ll remember most is this: being together. Being real. Listening to each other’s voices. Watching the day fade behind us and knowing we were headed somewhere solid.

Now the house is still. The noise of the day has settled. It’s just us and this moment.

We’re home. And that’s how a beautiful day ends.
