Blog Post Title: “Storms, Strikes, and Stillness”

We walked back into Room 205 this morning not knowing exactly how the day would unfold—but ready for whatever came.

Bella stretched. Hydrated. Moved with intention.

I showered, cleaned up, and got myself in the right mindset.

Then we loaded up and drove to Bowlero Bowling Alley.

Barbi and Bella went in first.

I stayed outside for a moment—breathing, reflecting, watching the clouds gather.

It felt like one of those days that would ask something extra of us.

Block One – Five Games of Grit

  • Game 1: 183

  • Game 2: 186

  • Game 3: 179

  • Game 4: 247 – after a 7-bagger, a near-miss stone 9, and strong finish

  • Game 5: 183

Total Series: 978

Average: 195

Bella led the block, even on her toughest pattern. That says a lot.

We grabbed Whataburger for lunch—simple and satisfying.

Then it was back to Bowlero.

Block Two – Rollercoaster and Redemption

  • Game 1: 269 – fired out of the gate, added 69 pins

  • Game 2: 159 – splits and frustration crept in

  • Game 3: 199 – strong reset

  • Game 4: 172 – more splits, more mental toughness

  • Game 5: 257 – switched back to urethane, trusted her feel, and closed like a pro

Bella finished the day at +34, with the closest competitor at -94—still holding the lead heading into tomorrow.

Dinner, Laughter, and Love

After the last pin fell, we headed to Alamo Cafe, just down the road.

Bella got her chicken strips, I had fish tacos, and Barbi went with a big fajita burrito.

We ate dinner surrounded by good friends—laughing, reflecting, and celebrating the highs and lows of the day.

It wasn’t just about food.

It was about being together, being present, and enjoying every part of the journey.

Bowling Balls Locked Up – A Good Kind of Relief

No need to lug gear back to the hotel—PBA Junior locks the balls up in the paddock overnight.

A small grace that gives your hands—and your focus—a break.

They’ll be there waiting in the morning, just like the next opportunity.

Evening Joy – Indoor Pool, Full Hearts

Now, Bella’s at the indoor hotel pool with her friends, laughing, splashing, and soaking in the joy of the moment.

Their laughter echoes off the walls—carefree and light.

We’re full—physically, emotionally, spiritually.

And tomorrow, we rise again.
