Blog Post – A Second Daughter Arrives

When Lindsay arrived, something familiar and comforting settled in. It wasn’t just another guest—it felt like welcoming a second daughter into the family.

Bella and Lindsay have been bowling together since they were 10 years old. Through road trips, hotel stays, tournaments, laughter, wins, and even losses—they’ve grown up side by side. Lindsay has become more than a teammate. She’s become the sister Bella never had, and part of our family in every way that matters.

After getting unpacked at the hotel, we headed to dinner at Fry the Coop. The spice, the laughter, and the energy matched the excitement of having everyone together. From there, we set out for dessert—but the local favorite was overflowing, with a line stretching out to the road. It was Father’s Day, after all, and clearly everyone had the same sweet idea.

So we pivoted and found Andy’s Frozen Custard instead. On the way, Lindsay began sharing about her recruiting visit to Vanderbilt—what the campus was like, how it felt walking the campus, and what stood out about her experience. Not long after, while we were still in the car, Bella received her very first message from the Vanderbilt coach.

It was one of those rare moments where timing, friendship, and legacy all overlap. Two girls. One dream. And one car ride they’ll never forget.

Later that night, we accidentally entered the wrong address and ended up at the wrong Holiday Inn—20 minutes in the wrong direction—before realizing it and circling back. Even that misstep felt like part of the rhythm of the day: a little chaotic, totally connected.

Now we’re finally back in the room. It’s quiet. Everyone is winding down. Tomorrow kicks off the PBA Junior World Series of Bowling, and the girls are ready.

Legacy is being built right now—not just with trophies, but with memories.

Not just with rankings, but with moments like this.

Let’s bowl, girls. 🎳
