BLOG: Flexible Love

Flexible Love

Today has been a beautiful lesson in flexibility. We started off with everyone getting a little recharge—Barbi and I took naps at the hotel while Bella coordinated plans with her friends. When it was time to head out, we found ourselves navigating a few unexpected twists. The places Bella and her friends initially wanted to eat had long waits or only offered outdoor seating in the 101-degree heat—definitely not ideal.

So we decided to pivot. Instead of forcing the original plan, we embraced the change and headed to Chick-fil-A for something quick and easy. It’s moments like these that remind me how blessed I am to be part of a family that values each other’s presence and is willing to be flexible.

Barbi’s grace in navigating the changes, Bella’s ability to adapt and still find joy, and the simple fact that we’re all in it together—it’s these little things that mean the most.

We might not always get it perfect, but we keep showing up for each other. And that’s the kind of flexibility that lasts a lifetime.
