BLOG: A Night to Remember—Together in the Light

A Night to Remember—Together in the Light

Tonight was more than fun—it was a moment of transformation.

Bella laughed harder than I’ve seen her laugh in weeks, surrounded by friends and play. Barbi smiled wide and relaxed deeper into joy, into presence, into the love we’ve fought to protect through every storm. And me—I walked into that lobby carrying some weight, but I didn’t walk out with it.

Somewhere through the sounds of card games and the laughter of Bella and her friends, something shifted. I looked around and saw the truth that never really left: my family stands beside me. Always has. And tonight, I felt the quiet power of that more than ever.

What hit even deeper were the conversations. The unexpected affirmations. Parents and friends who reached out just to say thank you—for the impact I had not just on them, but on their children. Those words mean more than you know.

We had such a great time as a family, laughing, connecting, and just being present. And through it all, I felt the transformation of knowing that so many people have reached out and supported us through their prayers and encouragement.

To those who have stood by us… you know who you are. Thank you for walking with us, praying for us, laughing with us, and reminding us that the light we carry isn’t just for show—it’s to live by, to fight for, and to share.

We’ll keep pursuing excellence. In family. In love. In how we live, lead, and light up the darkness.

Waiting and Uncertainty

This morning I reflect on waiting and uncertainty and how both can feel like quiet teachers. Waiting is not empty. It is practice. It is the slow strengthening of patience. And uncertainty is not puni
