Be the Model, Not the Mouthpiece

Be the Model, Not the Mouthpiece

There’s something powerful about being caught doing the right thing. Not when you’re talking about it or trying to teach it, but when you’re simply living it. The people around you, especially your family, notice more than you think. They see how you move, how you respond, how you take care of yourself, and how you treat others.

For me, that starts with Barbi and Bella Love. The two people who mean the most to me see every side of who I am. They see me at home, in public, and in those quiet moments no one else sees. They see how I handle pressure, how I speak to them, how I treat people, and how I take care of my body and my mind. It’s not about preaching discipline. It’s about living it. It’s not about saying I love them. It’s about showing it through patience, kindness, and consistency.

How I eat, how I move, how I rest, how I pray, how I spend and save money because every one of those choices tells a story. Each decision is a chance to model the kind of man I want Bella to remember and the kind of husband Barbi deserves. I want Bella to understand that excellence isn’t about perfection. It’s about progress. It’s about choosing to grow and refusing to settle.

The people closest to you are always watching, but more importantly, they are always learning. When they see you stay grounded, humble, and consistent, it gives them permission to believe that they can live that way too.

Waiting and Uncertainty

This morning I reflect on waiting and uncertainty and how both can feel like quiet teachers. Waiting is not empty. It is practice. It is the slow strengthening of patience. And uncertainty is not puni
