Be in My Mind Through the Day

Be in My Mind Through the Day

Every day begins with a choice: where will my mind dwell? I’ve learned that the mind, like a tree, must be rooted in something deeper than circumstances. The roots are our values, our culture, our purpose. From that foundation, branches grow—the actions, words, and outcomes that fill each day.

It’s easy to believe motivation should come first, but I’ve discovered the opposite is true. Action leads to motivation. When I act on my commitments—even on the mornings I don’t feel like it—I realign with my purpose. That alignment is what carries me through.

Preparation creates separation. Each morning is an invitation to align the mind, to clear away what doesn’t support growth, and to stay focused on what matters most. Throughout the day, every minute becomes a chance to dwell in truth, to serve with love, and to walk with assurance.

At the end of the day, when all is quiet, I want my story to reflect this: that I lived with discipline, focus, and faithfulness. That I stood rooted, and that my actions told a story of purpose and love.
