Blog post for Barbi, Bella, and me.

After five days away, I’m finally back where I belong—home.

Barbi met me in the street, dancing, laughing, crying… holding signs that said “We missed you.”

Bella ran to me with a hug that said more than words ever could.

And just like that, everything else faded.

The world can say what it wants.

But home knows the truth.

Home sees you.

No masks.

No defense.

Just love.

Just presence.

Now it’s time to lean back in.

To love my wife.

To walk with my daughter.

To eat chicken, laugh loud, rest well, and live soft.

Because this is the good stuff.

This is the why.

And we’re here—together.

“Be grateful for the storms in life, they reveal who your true friends are.”

— Don’t Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table by Louie Giglio

Thank you, Barbi, for reading that to me.

And thank you, Lord, for this home.
