A Tribute to My Wife – 27 Years of Grace and Grit

In just 11 days, we’ll celebrate 27 years of marriage. Twenty-seven years of choosing one another. And when I look at my wife Barbi, I know—I am the most blessed man alive.

Barbi isn’t just my wife. She’s my anchor, my teammate, my constant, and the clearest picture I’ve ever seen of what a true woman of God looks like. She’s been by my side in ways no words could ever fully describe.

She’s loved me when I was strong and when I was weak. She’s supported me when I didn’t know how to support myself. She’s prayed over me, for me, with me. She’s forgiven me, covered me, stood by me, and walked beside me—not just in the spotlight, but in the shadows where no one sees. And that’s where her strength shines the most.

Her faith isn’t for show. It’s real. It’s quiet. It’s unwavering. She doesn’t just talk about God—she walks with Him. And in doing so, she walks with me, through every joy and every storm.

Tonight, we sat on the couch. No big event, no special occasion—just the two of us. We read the Word. We prayed. For ourselves. For each other. For Bella Love. And we held each other in quiet comfort. There was no noise, just peace. Just unity. Just the gentle rhythm of a life built on faith.

It took me back to the altar—when we stood before God and said, “I do.” And 27 years later, she’s still saying it. Every day, in a thousand different ways. In her words, yes—but more so in her actions, her fruit, her prayers, her loyalty, her love.

Barbi Michelle, thank you for choosing me. Thank you for loving me the way you do. You are the most amazing woman I could ever ask for. And I’ll never be able to express the depth of my gratitude—but I’ll spend the rest of my life trying.

I love you.

Here’s to 27 years—and to forever, together.

Waiting and Uncertainty

This morning I reflect on waiting and uncertainty and how both can feel like quiet teachers. Waiting is not empty. It is practice. It is the slow strengthening of patience. And uncertainty is not puni
