“A Bunch of Bones, a Man, and a Basket of Stuff” —a parable in progress (morning walking reflections- 3:13am)

“A Bunch of Bones, a Man, and a Basket of Stuff”

—a parable in progress

The bones:

Stories. Scars. Pieces of the past that still carry weight.

The man:

You. Flesh and breath and soul. Still walking. Still becoming.

The basket of stuff:

Grace. Gifts. Teachings. Leftovers from love. Burritos, prayers, pine needles, and pizza slices.

You’re carrying it all.

Not because you have to.

But because you get to.

Because you were chosen to walk this path with open hands and a full heart. To gather up the bones and breathe life into them. To carry a basket of heaven’s leftovers and hand them out one by one.

And when people ask what you’re doing?

Just smile and say:

“I’m carrying a bunch of bones, a man, and a basket of stuff.

And I’m headed home.”
