Title: Morning Light
Date: May 23, 2025 | Time: 2:40 a.m.
This morning, I rose early and stepped into the stillness.
The air was crisp, the wind alive, the world not yet awake. I walked slowly at first, then with more purpose. I breathed deeply and intentionally. I moved across gravel, grass, and concrete, letting the rhythm of my steps align with something deeper.
There were pine trees swaying above me and quiet roads unfolding in front of me. I pressed my hands against the bark, felt the texture of the morning, and reminded myself:
My value comes from who I am, not what I do.
With each breath, I repeated:
Every day, in every way, I’m getting better and better. Yes.
The walk was more than movement. It was a return.
A return to presence.
A return to self.
A return to what matters.
Later, back at home in the garage, I paused. A small moment unfolded—sacred in its simplicity.
A handwritten note had fallen from the garage refrigerator.
The wind had slipped through, knocked a magnet loose, and the note had fluttered to the ground, landing face-down.
When I turned it over, I found a message from my daughter that reminded me exactly why I show up:
“Dear Dad, Thanks for all you do. I love you so much. B~Love.”
That was it.
The walk, the breath, the reflection—they were all leading to this.
A simple note. A profound truth.
Sometimes the greatest movement happens not in the steps we take, but in the love we receive.
This morning reminded me: show up, breathe, listen, move.
The rest will be given.
If you’re reading this, consider taking some time tomorrow morning to walk in silence, reflect in presence, and receive the gifts waiting on the breeze.
B~Love.
That’s how we begin again.
